We know there’s a lot of interest in the new weight loss medication, Mounjaro (Tirzepatide), recently approved by NICE. However, GP practices in Gloucestershire are currently unable to prescribe it until we receive further guidance from our Integrated Care Board (ICB) and NHS England.
Initially, it will only be available through specialist weight management services for those with the greatest clinical need. Please do not contact your GP surgery about accessing this medication just yet.
