In the light of the ongoing, national increase in demand on general practice it has been necessary to make some changes to our availability so that we can prioritise our workload safely.
- With immediate effect we will be closed to phone calls between 12pm and 2pm each day and our door closed 1pm to 2pm to allow our administrative team the opportunity to carry out tasks such as processing repeat prescriptions, eConsults, and emails and to make outgoing calls to patients on behalf of the GPs. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient for some of our patients, but it is the only way that we can give our staff time to complete this work.
- We are also introducing a change to the availability of eConsult. This will now be available during our hours of opening – 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday. Outside these times, any patient who needs medical advice or care that cannot wait until we reopen is advised to contact NHS 111, their local pharmacist, or the out of hours GP service.
